Darn Appendix's
Well by now if you haven't heard of our adventure on thursday night i will tell you all about it....It starts off with Russ being at Work and not feeling well, Now being the macho man that my husband likes to think that he is!! LOL He wrote it off as having cramps, and thought that it might help if he went to the washroom... That did not help the matter.. He continued to work all day through the pain and at the end of the day when he came home,, he was in excrutiating amounts of pain. Now I being the loving and caring wife that i am, I suggested that we go to a clinic and have it looked at. The Doctor at the clinic saw him and immediatly sent hm to the hospital..We arrived at Royal Columbian at 6 o'clock and waited and waited and waited and finally saw a doctor then it was determined that YES he did have appendicitis and that it did need to come out so there we were again waiting, this time for the surgeon. they came finally and did all the pre-op checks that they needed to do and they took his appendix out at 1:30 am on Friday morning.... What a fun start to the weekend!!!!! He was alright when i lefthim at 3:30 this morning, but i am heading up there to see him for around 10am.

Is using hands inconvenient?
Of all people, the Japanese are the ones who invented this...

Now, yes I'm sure there are GOOD uses for this, like the disabled and such, but still. To market this as a tool for people to be even lazier just seems retarded. I'd expect as much from americans who seem to only want to get fatter as "civilization" progresses, but the Japanese? Domo Origato, Mr. Roboto?? Domo? Domo.

The game lat night was awesome. The Mariners would have destroyed the White Socks if It wasnt for Jim Thome. The man hit two homers, one run scoring sac fly, and one ball over the wall that Ichiro made a freakish catch to pull in for four RBI's. After getting down 3-0 the Mariners scored a run in the fourth two in the fifth and four in an awesome sixth inning that had the near sell out crowd of 41k screaming.

Strike!
In light of the recent civil strike that's going on in the city, I thought I would share my views on this.
To all the garbage strikers: If you have a problem with the public getting rid of their garbage by using a private company, then maybe you should get back to work. If you are sooo in love with garbage that it outrages you to see someone else do your job, then perhaps you should get things figured out so that you and your true love can be together.
To the general public who is outraged about the rich having their garbage picked up for them because they're part of a "fancy folk club": Umm....just so you know, when you're rich you can pretty much get anything you want, so get over it. If you want the same things they have, then get rich.
That being said, I have a few choice words about the strikers who are a few blocks away from my work. A little back story first though.
I have worked for my company for almost 2 1/2 years. I used to drive to work then, and part of that territory was the fact that finding parking is next to impossible after 8am. I would leave so that I would have an extra 30 minutes to find parking before I had to start (some days it would take longer). So, I would be driving up and down the streets looking for a parking spot and every single day I would see a group of men (about 30 or so) just standing around. It finally dawned on me that they were on strike.
I don't drive to work anymore, but I still see that same group every single day. It irritates me. It sometimes makes me feel angry. When I walk by them, I want to scream at them to get a better union or just get a better job. I don't know why I seem to care so much about them because a lot of these men seem to like standing around doing nothing. These guys are mixed in age (between 20-50) and for the most part you might mistake them for bums (and everyone knows how I feel about bums).
It astonishes me that they just don't care and have no ambition about their livelihood. These people need to stop being selfish and get a life.

So I'm sitting here at work, sort of doing work, and I can hear my boss talk to one of her many outside consultants (who does the work that I should be doing...) and they're yelling at each other in chinese. It's hilarious, but at the same time it's ridiculous. Way to be a professional.

So I'm looking out the damn window at my damn work and I'm thinking "DAMN!" It feels like the fall or something.. it's so dark and gloomy and wet.
I did a search. It seems that our old buddy Malachy Joyce's blog the Hundred Percenter is now invite only and his domain name is now owned by some cyber squatter. I guess he was just a gassy windbag after all. So now who are we going to exchange witty banter with?

Nick's Birfday
So, I'm next in line to turn 27. This special, special day is next Wednesday (August 15). Since I don't think anyone wants to do anything midweek we'll probably want to do something on the weekend. Russ and Jenn are bastards, and they'll be in Seattle at a ball game on saturday, the 18th, so I guess we'll have to do something on the friday. I was thinking some dinner and then a movie. Or if it's a nice night maybe we'll head down to the beach, take in the sunset, and grab some dinner then... or whatever.
